End Duck Shooting

Tens of thousands of ducks are shot in Tasmania every year. Other states have banned this cruelty and it’s time for us to do the same.

Around 50,000 ducks are shot in Tasmania every year.

Despite bans on duck hunting in New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia, this cruel, outdated activity is still permitted in Tasmania.

Australia’s climate is getting hotter and drier. Water birds are finding it harder and harder to find a safe habitat.

Ducks that have been sensibly protected on the mainland will migrate to Tasmania, only to be slaughtered in their tens of thousands.

Our island should be a sanctuary for wildlife. We need to follow the lead of other states and ban this inhumane and unsustainable wild duck shooting.

It’s long overdue.

If you agree, sign our petition to end duck shooting in Tasmania.

I call on the Tasmanian Government to end duck shooting

Thanks!
