Legislative amendments, successfully moved by the Tasmanian Greens last year, helped ensure no one would face eviction or rent rises during the pandemic emergency.
It was a huge win, but the Liberals plan to end these protections within days.

NSW, Victoria, WA and the ACT have extended their protections because their governments understand the potential human cost of rent hikes and evictions during a crisis.
Tasmania needs to do the same.
